We have a great idea for a tv comedy from which we are in the process of filming a TV pilot for. We would like to speak with someone who has experience with pitching shows to television channels

You might need to find yourself a well-established production company who is a preferred supplier in that genre in order to get established yourself - certainly the BBC will probably require it. Otherwise, if you have produced for a UK channel in the last three years, you should be able to register with the BBC to make the pitch yourself.
You don't mention for which channel you think your idea might be better suited. It's important.
