INDEXDoes anyone know where I can get epic orchestral music for my film project?

It's for a documentary i'm doing using hyperlapses to show off some of the most beautiful buildings in Edinburgh. It's a very unique project. There have been a few hyperlapse shorts before but none quite like mine. I feel it's quite unique and on a big scale so i am looking for some music to match, not dubstep which seems to be in every other hyperlapse video.

How about archive.org as a starting point - mostly public domain.

Check out www.pond5.com. Huge, affordable library. BTW, even if music is on archive.org, that doesn't mean it is public domain. The original music (as in notes/sheet music) may be in the public domain, but almost all recordings are protected under master licenses. Very rarely you may find a piece of royalty-free music, but it is quite rare.

Richelle's right - a lot of the tracks on archive.org have their original *sheet music* in the public domain now, but the *recordings* themselves are not - and the information available on archive.org is insufficient to tell whether a recording is actually in the public domain or not. Additionally, the rules regarding copyright are different in the US to Europe.
