Does anyone know/have an affordable small sound studio to record voice-overs?

We need to record a voice-over for a brand video project we're working on. We have a budget but don't need anything fancy. Just a basic sound facility/studio to be able to record a 1.30 minute voice-over without noise or distractions. We'll match the footage to the voice-over so don't even need video capability for the voice-over actor. Any leads and recommendations are highly appreciated! Thanks

A quiet room with a duvet hung over some chair backs and a hand held recorder, or even direct to the same tape you're currently shooting to with an external mic. It needn't cost anything to get 'good enough' voice over.

Otherwise look for local rehearsal studios - they're everywhere, often set up by musicians who didn't make the big time, and will probably be able to do you a good value and enthusiastic recording.

Dave Hills has one in Shoreditch that is very affordable and basic but the room, the mic and the recorder are excellent quality. West end tech at east end price. dave.hills@glude.tv

get in touch with Philip Hurd Wood, he's on this site. He's done some stuff for me and he's quick, professional and does exactly what you want. He's on shooting people. http://www.hurd-wood.co.uk/

My sound designer has all the equipment you need. He doesn't have a studio, but you can go at his place and he knows how to make the voice sound perfect. He is a professional editor and sound designer and he had a couple of films shown at Short Film Corner. You can find him on IMDB by the name of Andrei Pacuraru. His email is andrew.sheperd.114@gmail.com

Hi. If getting to Harrow isn't a problem for you, these guys are great and very reasonable. I've recorded promos for the telly there, so no problem with quality: 2002 Studios, steven@2002studios.com, 020 8907 8634.
