Hi all,

My name’s Ali - I’m an Editor based in London. I primarily cut short-form work (branded content, fashion films, music videos) but am looking to take on several Narrative projects this year.

Hi Ali
I'm currently 3/4 through a feature film. I'm assembling the film (the hard work of rushes, synching, making scenes make sense) but I will need a pro Editor to make the piece tick.
There wasn't a script, so the film has organically developed. It's called 'HIDE' and the main story is about a woman who has a breakdown after her mother dies and she can't delineate between fact and fiction.

The joy for an Editor would be to take pieces of the puzzle and make something cohesive and significant. My shoot isn't so random but there has been such a change in direction that there is more than one way of editing it!

Hi Ali,

I just came across your post a bit dated, but still it interested me.

(You are the first editor I have contacted in regards to this project.)

I am looking to find an editor to help me with the making of a short with the intention of using it to gain funds to go on to make a full length video documentary.

The short will be an introduction into the 10-15 years I worked outreach in central London.
The documentary is based on a group affected with substance abuse and emotional/psychological difficulties.
One by one they died until the last of them 'Robbie' died in 2022.

During this timespan I compiled a substantial collection of photos, videos and voice recordings which can be used to build the stories narrative.
I could also use my voice as a guide to help tell it.


I also have video projects in the pipeline that I need an editor for next one is for an editor to edit
4 x 1 day shoot highlights into 4 x 3 - 5 min best of each days highlights and also for one 3 -5 minute highlight of the best of the 4 day shoots.
