Hi,
I am a student filmmaker at the Met film school and I was wondering if someone knows where can I find an elevator in west London available for a scene of a short film.

Do any of your college buildings have one? I'm pretty sure any building of any height will need one for wheelchair access, so that's a lot of lifts sitting vacant overnight or at weekends...

Thus is the same for all locations - find the location and then ask the owner. I was making a Documentary in 2010 & wanted a PTC in front of 10 Downing Street. I phoned the Prime Minister's Press Office and 48 hours later I was filming there FREE OF CHARGE. I'm older and have grey hair so I suppose gravitas kicks in, but my experience has been if you ask people politely, don't trample the flowerbeds, CLEAN UP AFTER YOU, and thank the owner - a small box of chocolates goes down well if the budget affords, you , and those that follow you will be welcome. I'm sure any of your "profs" at MFS will echo this!! Good luck, try one of the Hotels in Ealing , they might help, or in the office block outside MFS - unless you are remaking The Towering Inferno - you only need an opening door on one floor! Good Luck
