Have seen ads for jobs where asking for CV, however I can find no link to uploading one on the profile, or attaching to applications.?

A lot of people just have their CV written on/linked on their profile page.
You can always write something in your message to them along the lines of, "My email is xxx@yyy, I'd be happy to send you my up-to-date CV from there if you give me an email address to send it to."
