INDEXEquipment Rental Insurance
12 years, 4 months ago - Matthew Lawrence
Hi,
I'm looking to rent some camera equipment with a value of £11k and need to get it insured as the rental company don't have an option for insurance. I've had two quotes so far; AON will do annual cover for £260 which is good if I want to rent it again. Allan Chapman James will do one off cover for £194.
Can anyone else recommend insurers that are worth checking out? Ideally I'm looking for a cheaper premium if possible. My own business insurance do a £35 premium but this only covers equipment up to £5k.
Many Thanks,
Matthew

Yep, I'd agree with Essex. They're the best and cheapest I think.

Hi,
Thanks to everyone who got back to me on this. Essex were indeed the cheapest. I saved quite a bit, which was much needed as the budget was tight.
Many Thanks,
Matthew

Try hiscox business insurance - I was pleasantly surprised by their deals and got my PLI and £10k kit hire insurance for under a tenner a month combined.
