INDEXExiting looking abandoned factory location in London.

Hello all, I'm looking for an exiting looking abandoned factory style location with a 'presence of absence' feel in or near London for a fashion video shoot. Does anyone have any ideas?

Only you really know what you need.
I'd drive around the likely locations looking for places with agency boards outside, then call them. On estates, the estate management company.
Be very clear as to your answers to the following, because it goes to their liability issues, (waivers provide little protection these days).
a) Will you need interiors? Exteriors are easier to say yes to.
b) Do you need power and / or water on? If you do, you really want an unused part of an active site.
c) Can you afford to pay them to have someone - keyholder and de facto "nope, don't do that/go there" guy - on site from start to finish, at overtime rates.
d) Will you have the right level of insurance?
If you need somewhere more derelict - hard hat type environment, it will be much harder because even if they want to say yes, the liability issues for them are huge. Better to dress somewhere.
Good luck.

If you are looking for that not abandoned but also not actually used look, try property guardian companies. You'll need to pay, and need to be ready to shoot at very short notice, but the properties either have water and leccy, or at least the guardian company fit a temporary supply before leasing it as cheap accommodation. It'll be possible to insure as well. Roster changes rapidly, so be in a position to shoot, then ask what they've got. You can get whole nightclubs, convents, shopping centres, fire stations, warehouses, etc. You could dress something suitable.
