Hi gang,

So we're done, finished, wrapped,short film is in the bag and up on the submission portals ready to go. So, now the dark art of festival strategy. Now I know most festivals now don't ask for premiere status for shorts, but behind the scenes do they still give preference to shorts that haven't premiered anywhere?

There's a BAFTA listed festival deadline coming up but I'm worried if it's accepted it'll mess up my chances of getting into Clermont Ferrand or one of the big US shorts festivals. Hold out for next year or go for it?
