Film Festivals: Manchester

I noticed recently there were several film festivals based in Manchester, in particular, Manchester Film Festival and Kinofilm Manchester Internation Film Festival. I have no knowledge of either. I'd be interested to hear your impressions regarding value to the filmmaker/contributor, relative prestige, and so on.

Hi Richard,
I attended Manchester International Film Festival http://www.maniff.com/ and thought it was very good. I felt well looked after and appreciated as a filmmaker and the screenings had good attendance. So I would happily recomend it. I hope that helps.
