Hi there. I'm a Liverpool based film maker. I'd be up for meeting up for a chat about working in the city. There is still actually a shooters here I believe but I haven't been for some time. Please let me know if you'd like to meet. Perhaps we could start a woman in film group. Nice to know it's not just me!

I'm sorry Silke, I didn't realise that you had responded until just now. I think the first thing to do would be to find a suitable venue - maybe somewhere quite centrally and with good public transport and a car park close isn. I know that shooters have to endorse it because you can only have one per city. I'd arrange the venue first, then clear it with shooting people. It might help if for the first few sessions you can get any filmmakers you know personally to show up and support it until it reaches a critical mass (hope that's the right phrase). I'd also write to all shooters who are local and invite them along. I hope it goes well for you xxx

Thanks Jamie, that website looks pretty cool. I'll try to make it to some of the events =) it looks like they have a lot of stuff going on. I've requested to join the facebook group, is there much interaction on there?

Thanks Holly, thats a good idea. I know there was a shooters in the pub event for Liverpool at one time, but its not running anymore, would be a good idea to try and restart it =) I don't really know how to go about setting one up. Is it through the site or do you organise it independently?

Any filmmakers or anyone interested in film based in Liverpool get in touch, as next week we are shooting a short film called 'Vanishing Trick' which is being backed by Creative England and the BFI Net.Work.

Still looking for production crew and some extras.

Hi Silke, have you thought about starting a "shooters in the pub" in Liverpool? I've always really enjoyed these. I've recently moved to Manchester and we don't actually have a "shooters in the pub" here right now and I'm thinking of starting one up. Holly x
