Final Draft

Hi all. I have a colleague in Cardiff who has Final Draft but doesn't have a clue about it or even correct formatting. He's just sent a script but has used FD to write straight text!!!

Is there anyone in Cardiff who could meet him to help? Too far for me and he obviously needs help. What he's written is not bad but I don't have time to reformat it. He really needs proper lessons. Perhaps there is a film club in Cardiff? An opportunity to mentor a budding writer.

That's not necessarily the case. He simply doesn't have a clue about correct formatting. It is technically possible to use FD just for straight text, which what he's done. I've been using every FD since v5 and used to teach it too, so I'm totally fluent with it. Anyway I've now put him on the right track for proper tuition.

Sounds like he's got a hooky copy since the real deal comes with a pretty idiot-proof manual - you can download the manuals from the Final Draft website though: http://manual.finaldraft.com/
