I find funding challenging, and have not been very successful so far. I welcome any advice for those in the know.

Hey Laura,

New funds have been added to SP's Funding Directory, which you can see here: https://shootingpeople.org/funds/

For shorts, the BBC are commissioning short comedy films, the BFI Short Film Fund is open now and closes in May, I *think* BFI Doc Society's short film fund is opening in May too... All of the details are listed in the funding directory.
