INDEXFX9 footage into FCPX?

Hi , please can someone help talk me through getting FX9 footage into FCPX please ?
I tried a couple times and it looks weird . I tried wide gamut thing and a couple things. Maybe someone is used to the work flow. I only just started using the camera and luckily the editors said the footage is fine but on my fcpx I don’t trust it and have a big edit with camera this weekend on a tight deadline for a charity event .

why not transcode into ProRes then edit ?

define "weird" Maybe include some links to some still or a sample on youtube?
