Can anyone recommend a Shooting People equivalent for Germany, looking for cast and crew for a Berlin based feature shoot.
Thanks
Louise

Many thanks for all your responses, its really useful stuff, can always count of getting great advice from fellow shooters!
@Paddy - Thanks Paddy, we have a DoP already attached and due to the low budget nature and mostly exterior locations we just have to make use of natural lighting.
Thank you Kathrein and Cedar, I'll check out Crew United, the film is a fiction feature
@Haz - Looking mainly for featured supporting roles, one day shoot for a dinner party scene but dates and characters still TBC
@Clive - Hi Clive, many thanks, we already have the editor attached to the film

You could also try and get in touch with the ZAV in Berlin. They're part of the German job agency.

Hi Louise
Crew United is the closest to Shooting People in Germany that I can think of. They have a job board and searchable database and vigorously make sure that both are up to date and correct.
For documentaries you can also get in touch wth AG DOK, an association of professional documentary makers.
Then you have the various associations of crew members, such as Bundesverband Kamera (BVK) for DoPs, camera operators and assistants.
In Berlin, I can put you in touch with a superb doc-experienced camera woman. She can also take on production management, field producing and directing.
And of course there are Film Commissions / funding bodies in each of the Laender, most of whom have crew databases.
Feel free to get in touch if you need more specific info and pointers.
Cheers,
Kathrein

Hi Louise
the German equivalent would be www.crew-united.com
You can view people without a premium membership, however, if you want their contact details, you would have to sign up for a 50 € per year premium membership.
You could, however, sign up for free and put an ad in the jobs section. This would be free for you and people are always eager to work with international talent.
Alternatively give me a shout, I have a fairly large network in Germany and could put you in touch with a couple of people, who are Berlin-based.
Best of luck,
Cedar

Hi Louise,
what crew are you looking for? I'm moving out to Berlin in a couple of months and want to get stuck in to some decent projects!
Cheers

I can point you towards a good youngish Gaffer/DoP (he's taking the lighting, not camera route to DoP which is less common, less glamorous, but will pay dividends to you). He'll also know all the other trades locally, and speaks fluent English, French and German :-)
