German to English translator

9 years, 9 months ago - Johnny Burke

Hi,
I am looking for a German to English translator to translate/transcribe about 30-45 minutes of footage. It is paid work, amount to be agreed according to level of experience. I can upload the material to Vimeo, so the work can be done from any location.
thanks
Johnny

Lots of offers of help here but if anyone is stuck for translations I used a website called Unbabel, quite reasonably priced and very quick.

Hello there, I'm assuming you might have your solution already in the answer above, but just in case, I am a German born Filmmaker and actress though I grew up in England so grew up bilingual. I have experience in subtitling and dubbing and also recently started translating corporate speeches from German to English which can be quite tricky as you want to get the closest translation and yet keep it at a high rhetorical level.
Anyway, do contact me if you still need a translator.
Best,
Tamara

Good Morning,
I might be able to help. I operate as a producer/screenwriter in Germany & UK, currently in Germany. Since we also work for corporate clients, most of our paid work is translation, voice over and subtiling.
I am bilingual, so I work pretty fast.
So far I have also worked for a couple of documentary filmmakers and I am currently working on a new feature that is supposed to hit the international festival circuit.
If you feel I can help you, don't hesitate to be in touch.
Cheers,
Cedar

Hi there Johnny, I was born in England and raised in Switzerland for 17 years and am fluent in English and German. I had outstanding grades in both languages throughout school and work on a very quick turnaround and have been paid to do this kind of work before, as well as translating letters, CVs and cover letters, so if you still need someone do let me know!

Cheers and have a great week,
Alix

Johnny hi, I'm Swiss, nevertheless grew up with English, been living in a German-speaking city for too long now. Author/screenwriter/actor/etc I've made versions of a film in German as well as in English. Like dubbing except it's the original acting all over again. And I've translated many things in the past. Let me know.
