INDEXGetting a Shooters in the Pub event started in Germany?
11 years, 12 months ago - Cedar D. Wolf
Hiya,
as I do spend a lot of time in Germany with other London/ LA/ NY veterans, I have been thinking about starting an official North German outlet for the Shooters in the Pub events.
There are quite a few producers/ directors, who are producing for English-speaking markets and who would be grateful to hook up with fellow-English-speaking-filmmakers.
The question is: How would I go about getting it on the Shooters in the Pub board...and would I even be allowed to start an event under that name?
Cheers,
Cedar
P.S. I have no idea, if this is actually in the right category.

Hi Cedar,
Shooters in the pub is run by volunteer hosts, it'd be great to have an event in Germany.
Be great to speak about this further, drop me an email stephanie@shootingpeople.org and we can chat.
Thanks
Stephanie

Dedar - I asked the same question a few months ago about starting a SITP in the Lehigh Valley, PA, USA and was surprised at how easy it was - just do it. Post it on the Bulletin and Events and off you go. It helped that I was able to line up a very cool and cooperative pub as our home, so the turnouts have been great. Good luck.

Cheers, Bill. Yes, having a cooperative Pub to collaborate with helps. Luckily, there are quite a few in town. As I will be in the UK in early September, I will probably get started on SITP in early October. But have started spreading the word a bit, so we'll see how the locals react.
