10 years, 11 months ago - Karel Bata

I'm about to sell a sell a Sony DSR 1800P DVCAM deck on eBay.

It's big n heavy, like this one http://www.promotionhire.com/vtrs/sd/sony-dsr-1800p

Any one able to recommend a courier? I'm in London.

Cheers!

Hi Karel

Not sure what they're like delivering delicate things but I use 'My Hermes' courier service for books I sell. Great thing about them is their webpage allows you to calculate price to destination postcode, factoring in weight category. You can pay for a signature - which stops them leaving outside - and can drop off at a shop if you don't want to wait in

If speed isn't the first priority, SilverSprint offer a good service where they do weekly laps of the country, so your package is usually delivered within 1-2 weeks. Could be a few days, could be longer if it's another of the loops so has to be cross-loaded at the weekend. They do lots of furniture/big stuff, so are used to heavyish/awkward loads. Their prices are great http://www.silversprint.co.uk/ebay-price-list/ and they book in slots to collect and deliver (assuming both sides are flexible).

Best bit is the offer a wrapping service, so you can buy stuff from ebay sellers across the country and know it will arrive in good nick if you pay extra for the premium packaging
