Good morning all, does anyone know if one sheet's (film poster) are at all useful with film festivals?

For a short 25 minute film.

Or is it just enough to have the thumbnail for IMDb.. or should I go all out with the one sheet? And make a thumbnail IMDb poster from that?

Any thoughts? Anyone got experience of the advantages of having a full poster for a short film at festivals?

Thanks!

PS - if it's anything like the short film corner at Cannes, there won't be a square inch of wall uncovered with desperate pamphleture, let alone poster or UK Quad (30" x40" landscape) sized space!

Thanks Paddy, I appreciate the reply and info.

It can't hurt to take one on hand so you have the choice, but it'll depend on the festival if it helps. I'd imagine not for the most part - a programme of shorts might have 10 films, and 10 quads or posters take a huge amount of wall space. And unless you have a double-sided print it won't really look good in a lightbox anyway.
