Most web series are a bit pony, but I thought this one from The Onion was actually, genuinely good. Ignore the YouTube commentards who can't tell reality from pastiche (although what a sign of the times that they can't!) and keep watching.
Why do I think it's worth mentioning? Well, the writing and performances are all strong, each episode has a minor arc contributing to the overall arc, it's funny, it's extremely dark in places. The Onion do some stuff well, and some if their contemporary TV spoofs are just perfect. Allow an hour for the whole lot, or try to stop yourself from watching 'just one more'...

I'm a big fan of High Maintenance. It had 4 very well received "seasons" which the creators self-funded, and then got picked up by Vimeo for their fifth season. HBO has very recently commissioned a TV series based on this. Great scripts and casting. You can see the episodes here: https://vimeo.com/channels/highmaintenance
