Has Any Shooter Been to Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival? Advice Welcome...

Hi,

The British Council have pleasantly awarded a grant for me to go to this festival in order to support my film, but with the additional expenses always incurred (and time taken out) in travelling to such events I'm trying to gather some info on what it's like. I've talked to the organisers there but I ideally I need to get a filmmaker's experience of the event before I commit.

(As a swap of information I can let you know all about Clermont-Ferrand, Premiers Plan, Mecal, Telluride, New Directors & Norwegian Short FF - all of which I've travelled to.)

Parabems Ash! I had the privilege of living in São Paulo 2002-4 and I'll highly recommend a visit. Amazing people and city, and I can put you in touch with some awesome filmmakers there if you decide to go! Cheers, StJohn

Great! Congrats!
When are you going? I am from Sao Paulo, never been to the festival but if you need any help with location , finding a place to stay, or anything like that do get in touch. I am at the moment in London, but will go bak on the 30th of October.
