INDEXHas anyone had a problem creating a new page on IMDb? My short film doesn't have an 'official site'.

I've put a YouTube link down in another section but I can't seem to process the IMDb submission without listing the 'Official site' section. Anyone else come across this?
Thanks,
Ben

IMDB needs to make sure a short film is real, and if it is in production that it can be verified as being real. I think a lot of dreamers put up films that were in their head and not being made. IMDB ends up with a legion of dead pages. So that is why they do this. They want to make sure it is a real film and that it is finished or alternatively actually in production for real. If you join Pro for $149 a year, you may have more input. Bottom line is they need to verify, to avoid a million dead pages.
If you don't have a dedicated film website, buy a domain, and put up a simple film web page.

If you have a Facebook page for your film you can put this in the Official website section ;)

Hi Ben,
Keep an accurate record of all the film details that you are trying to post. If after one month from when you originally submitted your film details still haven't been accepted then carefully re-submit exactly all the same information as this often works. Remember to add images and a poster (even if only temp) as these make the film more real. Grace's points above are now prerequisites to getting a film accepted quickly onto the imdb.com
Loading information and updates on to the imdb.com is much faster then it used to be. Sometimes now when I update, it is checked and passed and then goes live all on the same day, but when I first started adding information as a new contributor it took months or trying to get them to acknowledge and post my films data. So, in short, don't hound them but be persistent and you'll eventually get your film's data up there.
regards Ray

Thank you for the responses.
I got the pages accepted pretty quickly in the end, actually. I put the link down for the shorts on Filmfreeway and withoutabox. That seemed to satisfy the 'official site' bit.
