Has anyone had to remove dead pixels from 4k footage in final cut pro x? Would like to know what software is available to address this.

Have been shooting 4K on a Canon 1DC and have dead pixels. How can I go about removing them in Final cut.

Any software suggestions would be great.

Thanks

If the color/luma value allows it key the pixel(s) out. Take the same image and shift it over one or two pixels and use this as the BG layer.

As Paddy suggests, down-scaling and compressing the video may eliminate the dead pixels naturally.

How many pixels? Are you exhibiting in 4K? Is it actually worth it if you're going down to 2k for projection?

A tiny dot of gaussian blur in the region would average neighbouring pixels, if you want an easy fix especially if it's going to be exhibited at a lower resolution.

Take a look at this article. While for HD not 4K, should do the work.
