We're renting the brunt of our gear/kit from the established rental houses in London. Always have had great service and a negotiated down price.

However some times it makes sense to have some critical back ups of main gear on particularly expensive days, that maybe our main suppliers don't have doubles of.

I've looked at the BorrowFox site and prices for the same things seem to be all over the place.

Other than just common sense in looking at renting on a site like this, has anyone had experiences good or bad with renting from private owners from sites like this? Some of the prices look too good to be true which raises red flags.
