HDV Capture Settings with Final Cut 7

12 years, 4 months ago - Matthew Lawrence

Hi,

I'm capturing HDV footage in Final Cut 7 using a Sony Z5 camera with "HDV - Apple ProRes 422" capture settings. The captured footage looks great but when I click "Log and Capture" it doesn't give me the option to mark in and out points. It just starts capturing immediately as though I've clicked Capture Now.

Is there any way to log footage marking in and out points and then batch capture when using the "HDV - Apple ProRes 422" setting?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Matthew

Log and capture was designed for tape. With digital files I suggest that you get them safely onto your hard drive. Then log them. Although you may as well edit all the good bits onto the time line and save logging Andy
