to shoot in this May - any leads/ideas/random thoughts much appreciated!

ideally on a quiet street and reasonably sized (bit enough to easily house 4 crew and 5 cast)

thanks Paddy. We've talked to bottle yard and the film office - unfortunately we don't have the wherewithal to build a set and the film office seems to be exclusively populated shops (ie not empty) at £500 a day. I'm following up a couple more leads though...

thanks Marlom, I'll investigate!

Are you offering a fee and are you fully insured (including location insurance if you burn the place down)? Will you be providing generators and a portaloo? Not all shops will be connected to services.

The Peel Centre in Gloucester might suit - all large units and a couple vacant as it's being wound down prior to redevelopment. No idea what kind of reception you'l get though.

We are a very low budget but can push to a fee if need be. We are happy to negotiate any other criteria and work around obstacles.

realized that looks very vague - we have already approached estate agents, Bristol Film office and some owners direct, but so far drawing a blank

You might try the city council via their film office, but free/near-free is a big ask.

Or build a studio set, the bottle yard will certainly negotiate.
