Hi, does anyone know of any cheap accommodation at Sundance this year? Or does anyone have somewhere that I could pay to share?

I have two scripts that have taken ages to write and it feels like a good time to finally visit where the real producers, writers and filmmakers are. Many thanks, Richard Mob: 0788 7734 220 Richard@razorfilms.co.uk

Being in the same city as producers is no guarantee of meeting any - every aspirant screenwriter will be there hoping to meet and sell, so any buyers are likely to be staying to safe places, big hotels, etc. There's a member here who has sold scripts, but he'll be the first to admit that staying at the same hotel as the producers made a big difference in doing so - at least you stand a chance of chatting at the bar/over breakfast! If you're just 'in town' you'll be just another punter standing at the red carpet with a camera, as you won't get into anything 'serious'.

Instead, how about going to Cannes, use the savings from flights to get accredited, and at least you have the whole of the market to walk to keep you busy?

Berlinale works better for business. In Cannes, people are in an altered state of consciousness, therefore they don't perceive you anymore (if at all in other circumstances).
