I m looking for a jib to shoot . i dont have any knowledge about the jibs but to give rough idea i would be shooting the dance for my final project in college. this is a no commercial work. i want to shoot from the top i mean top-shot-above , the dancer will be dancing on the floor and wana shoot from the top.any suggestions where to get and which one it on rent in greenwich, london

Depends on the camera you're using, as the arm needs to remain rigid and heavier cameras need better jibs. And jibs can be expensive, and ideally you need an operator, so costs add up. Even transport may be costly.
However - it sounds like you're wanting something you may be able to do without a jib depending on the dance studio/stage - you may be able to strap a GoPro or similar lightweight camera to the grid, or a light fitting, or a beam, or hung from hooks on a false ceiling for instance. The effect you're after may make it a very cheap or relatively expensive shot to get, so you may need to compromise.
