INDEXHI, looking for advice/guidance from anyone with experience of editing poetic documentaries, or short docs that don't follow a conventional narrative?

I'm putting together a short film based on a series of interviews I've done with women throughout the world talking about how lockdowns have impacted them, and their hopes and dreams for the future. I have a rough assembly, but as iI am wanting to edit in a more poetic style, just looking for some guidance/pointers from anyone with experience of editing poetic style documentaries that don't follow a conventional narrative arc.

i do and I found simply placing a piece of music first gave a rhythm and tempo as guide. Looking at your website you seem talented and creative enough to find your style. best wishes

Hi Anita, can you use any art from contributors or rotoscope the footage? We make animated documentaries like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC2WY8AzS98 ~Nigel Stop Mo Studios

Hi Nigel thanks for your suggestions. I liked the animated documentary you did. Not sure about rotoscoping. I do have some photos from some of the women I may use, but I also have a lot of video footage I shot myself. What are the benefits of rotoscoping?
