Sheila is about a maid working in present day Johannesburg when her relationship with her controlling boss is put to the test. SHEILA, set and shot in Johannesburg where I was born, screened at Jozi International Film Festival, Afrika film festival in Cologne, Durban International Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Golden Knight film festival in Malta, Rapid Lion in South Africa, Limelight Film Awards, Zimbabwe International Film Festival and the International Short Film Festival in Drama (Greece). It was a very ambitious project I made for my final graduation film while doing my Master of Arts in Directing at the Met Film School. It was also nominated this year for Best Short Film at the British Urban Film Festival, which BBC Films sponsored, where I also won the Emerging Talent Award last year.
