Hello,
I was wondering if anyone have recommendations as to what horror/scifi/fantasy festivals that are worthwhile submitting a horror short film? Any good resources about this?
I hear some festivals are more about money grabbing.
Thanks.

The Starburst International Film Festival is quite respected for horror - http://www.starburstfilmfestival.com/
They screened a film of mine once (even though it was barely horror).
Sadly, you have just missed the deadline for this year's entries. It was May 14th.

I've just started one myself in London which will be over the Halloween period. Focus is on great horror and dark thriller films. Live audience, great venue, cheap to submit and filmmakers invited to attend.

Horror On Sea is great, really friendly community and no entry fee. My film screened there called HALLOWEEN JACK 3D and they screened it in 3D. The festival owners were very accommodating.
Good luck!
