How do i convert the final edited footage from Abobe premier elements 11 into a format that can be viewed independantly of the editing software.

I did a course a few months back where i learnt all this. An elementary question i know. Its been a few months since I did the course so I am a bit rusty with it all. I am shooting in HD so want to make sure that those with out HD screens will be able to view the footage with out any problems. Thank in advance for any and all responses to this.

There is a drop down menu on my toolbar named publish/share.
Once i have clicked on that i have three options.
Adobe flash video: use for posting on web
Mpeg: use for playback on this computer or burning a dvd.
Avchd: use for exporting avchd.

By selecting mpeg the options are as follows.

Pal dvd standard
Pal dvd widescreen
Hd 720p 25
Hd 720p 30
Mpeg2 1440x1080i 25
Mpeg2 1440x1080i 30
Mpeg2 1920x1080i 25
Mpeg2 1920x1080i 30

There are several iptions for hdtv as well as for ntsc the american format.

Which format is best suited for computer playback.

Bhakti,

Can you exort it in say .mov 2k or mpeg 4 standard H.264 render codec etc. then you can at least play it back on laptop or most standard monitors. and its useable in other like FCP etc.

Hope this might be useful.

Best of Luck!

John
