how do you find long term emplyment with proper south east based production companies?

Just wondering about methods of finding long term employment with companies possibilly south of London or SE london or West sussex as would like to sustain my cine career - work on different scale production just completed a feature over a few days. awaiting showreel material and wondering if anyone has good suggestion about doing this? website still in development.

Hi John,
Long term emplyment in this industry will depend on your skills and grade. If you are a director, even though you may be successful and make money, don't expect security of employment. If you are a technician, then there are opportunities with facilty companies or even with broadcasters, though fewer and fewer, as time passes. You don't say what you were on the feature. I live in West Sussex and the main work source for films and television would be London.
