How do you get a Gracenote TMS ID?

We're about to sign a distribution deal for our film, but the contract requires us to get a Gracenote TMS ID number. We can pay the distributor a fee to get one for us, but if it's possible to get one ourselves, we'd prefer that - even just to learn something new, and potentially save some money! Has anyone done this before? If so, how do you do it? The Gracenote website isn't very helpful :-(
