INDEXHow do you make an disgusting looking edible liquid which looks like something from "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" Bush Tucker Trial?

Hi Shooters,
I'm shooting a scene in which someone has to do a drinking challenge (similar to the ones in "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here") and drink a disgusting brown liquid that looks like a mix of cooking oil, blended sheeps brains and tabasco. However, I don't want our actress throwing up for real so if anyone has any tips on how to create something disgusting looking but edible that would be great.
Many Thanks,
Matthew

You can go savory or sweet, with savory you don't risk giving the actor a sugar high, or putting on pounds as you go for the 12th take.
Pasta makes great brains, the shell sort and spaghetti cut shorter. Cook it and then press some together in small clumps. You can colour some of the spaghetti bright orange or yuk green. A paste made with corn flour and cooked in water will give you mucus like clear bits. You can embed some of your beef tomato flesh in this. A clear beef stock can be made using stock cubes, or if vegetarian, brown some onions and make onion soup. Add HP sauce to taste. Allow to cool, and at the last minute throw in all the other ingredients. It should look awful - but be very tasty. Could you pass this off as one of your meals provided??????

I use supergreens powder, a bit of a fruit smoothie and a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil with water. I actually drink this most mornings! Tastes OK, looks rank, and is super healthy so you won't have to feed your actor!!

Try stale bread, no crusts, in marmite mixed with water. Thicken with cornflour if needed, the bread makes it nice and gloppy if you leave it for a few hours, can even refrigerate. You can also add bits of beef tomato flesh, peel and take seeds out, looks like crap... And totally edible. Tasty too :)
