ASK & DISCUSS
INDEXHow many films / Screen Plays deal with both young and old and create the bridge?

Currently we're interested in films / screenplays that create a bridge between the young and the old, and also films that have an aspect of palliative care in them.
We would give assistance in funding.
For example I recently liked a film that had a body swap between a young person and a dying man.

My wife works in palliative care, firstly as a district nurse, and latterly as a lecturer / nurse trainer. There are many sad, but uplifting stories to tell. I wonder though, what kind of market there would be for such films. As a training video for health and care professionals, yes, as a tool to provoke discussion amongst friends and relatives of a patient- possibly.

Gerry I can appreciate your wife's career, as I was once a district nurse too, and now am in Growth Capital.
If you look at a film like 'the kid' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GU85MLk5kw
You may appreciate what I am looking for as an Exec, and I would be interested for example in a script like an old lady with terminal dementia and a young child making communication.

Hello Lawrence,
I have a screenplay, Woollyback, that may interest you. It was a finalist in the UK screenplay competition at the London Independent Film Festival in 2009, and was selected to be pitched to industry professionals at the 2013 Edinburgh International Film Festival. At its core is the current and contentious social issue of assisted death.
Alan.
