How to spend your commuting time productively #81 – write a screenplay.

11 years ago - Michael Chandler

I’ve just finished writing my new feature film script - and I did it all on the tube.

I've read numerous writing coaches recommending you find just half an hour a day to sit down and write your script, and ‘you’ll have your script in 3 months’. Sounds good, I thought, and very achievable. But I soon became disheartened as weeks would go by without doing at least one half hour stint – either because of work, social life, home commitments, or just bloody weak willpower.

But doing it on the tube, on an iPad, worked for me. It proved to be the most productive time for me to do it. But it wasn't always easy.

Please do also share your stories about the ways you've found to write scripts.
