I can't make a film on my own.

A quick confession!
I’m not a filmmaker; I’m a keen screenplay writer.
Enjoyable as the writing is, the chances of seeing my work on screen are practically zero. This goes for other writers; tens of thousands of screenplays get written every year and some really talented writers have never had the opportunity to see their work on screen.
So, after recently losing a sibling and realising life is very short, I’ve decided to throw some of my own money away on a film project with a script that has done well in comedy screenplay competitions.
Shooting people’s headline “Because you can’t make a Film on Your Own” is the reason I’m posting this “Ask“.
I’m not after a film career, but this could be an opportunity for someone who is.
I’m hoping to find shooters and actors in and around Chelmsford, Essex, who may be interested in helping me make this low budget comedy film, which will hopefully be entered into film festivals. I have a website for the project, which has more information. http://www.finishinglast.co.uk
Happy New year to all Shooters!

Dear John,

My most sincere condolences on your loss. I recently suffered a similar one. It is shattering.

Your attitude is correct; to honor those we have lost we must be the best 'us' we can be. I wanted to give up acting and my Equity membership after my world was turned upside down via a sudden, unexpected death. But art heals, doesn't it? Actually, after my loss, it was a Shooting People collaboration I worked on that gave me a sense of peace. I was granted Vimeo access to a piece I worked on in 2014. And seeing it made me proud and I know my lost one would have been proud of the result. So I can say first-hand, art can and does heal.

i have sent you a private message, and saw you replied. Thank you. I will reply now....

And that is the takeaway message here--NOW. Do things now, as you never know when you just can't.

My kindest regards, and deepest condolences again,
Paulina Brahm
