INDEXI need a sci fi gun

I have a friend going to a Cosplay event. They contacted me asking if I could supply a Kick ass sci fi gun, something that loos the part. Does anyone have one, tell me where to get one or if any model makers out there want to have a go a making one, get in touch.

Try the prop houses, they might have something suitable, otherwise how about taking a supersoaker-style pump action water pistol as a base, glue on a bunch of futuristic-looking stuff, add a bit of sugru/milliput moulding to get strange custom bits, then spray it metallic silver - probably cheaper than a prop-house rental.
