Ideas for filming at a marathon finish line?

Has anyone got any experience filming at a marathon?

We'd like a shot of someone crossing the finish line, but can't work out if it would actually be possible to film at a real one.

It feels like creating our own will look very disappointing.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Hello Tiana

I belong to Lewes athletics club and imagine there will be a running club near you. I'd suggest you get in touch with them and see if they might be willing to set something up with you. You could suggest you'd promote the club or give them a mention in the credits.

Hope you manage to get the shot you need.

Thanks Louise! I'm not sure there would be the number of bods/infrastructure on their own... do you mean join them for their next marathon somehow? Thank you!
