I'm looking for a co-writer for a Western feature film project.

Dear Shooters,

I have been working on a feature film script for some time now that I'm really excited about, although I find myself coming up against the same hurdles time and time again. The only solution I can think of is finding a co-writer to help me bash through them.

I don't want to say too much about it here, but if you are a writer, or just a film-maker with a keen interest in Spaghetti Westerns (particularly the Leone trilogy and the Kurosawa films that inspired them) and are looking for new projects or a collaborator, I'd love to hear from you.

One thing I will say is that I am particularly interested in hearing from writers of South Asian heritage.

I am happy to share a lot more details with anyone who reaches out.

Thanks and all the best,

Ben

Hi Ben,

I am aware that you are not looking for a costume designer at this stage, but I am just writting to let you know that I would be super excited to work on a film where horses, Samurais or catanas are involved!!

Please keep my contact for future references.

Hi Ben,
Hope you are well. I'm intrigued by the premise of your script and I love westerns. If you would like to have a chat about your project, I look forward hearing from you.
Regards, Rishi

Hi Ben

It might be that you really need a script editor but Once Upon A Time In The West and several Kurosawa films rank as my all time favs so I'd be up for learning more about this. I have a Masters in Screenwriting from the NFS and have developed features with several companies and Film London so could perhaps point you in the right direction.

Cheers

Ed

Hi Ben,

I am an Indian writer/director but freelance as a script editor when time permits. Whilst, I am not one for Spaghetti Westerns, I count some neo-westerns, namely No Country for Old Men, Hell or High Water and Wind River amongst my favourite films. I have previously studied Writing TV Drama at the NFTS and have since edited and developed a pilot script that was a TV Pitchbox finalist and shortlisted for Screencraft's 2018 Film Fund. So if it sounds like I might be of any help then please do get in touch, as I would certainly like to hear more about the project.

Hi Ben,
Are you a writer? I ask because hurdles that you require to enlist a co-writer to deal with them, suggests you are not (otherwise you'd deal with them yourself?). That said, pm me and I will put you in touch with a director I met at IATA who is planning to make a spaghetti western in Kent - apparentyt there is a set down there
