Kickstarter versus Indiegogo.

I'm doing research into which crowd sourcing website is best for a feature film production. Any experiences, tales, advice greatly appreciated.

I've just finished a campaign with indie go go for a short film. We managed to raise just over our $3000 target. There are a few points though that I think helped. Have a finished product, I had a completed film where I was able to show clips and a trailer on the campaign page. This allows people to see the quality they are donating too. I found in my research the most successful campaigns on indie go go and kickstarter were completed projects and not someone saying a idea into a webcam. The perks you give are important and for what price. Make them fun and engaging. A prop from the film? A credit? Something donors can feel a part of the film. My most popular perk was $25 for the DVD. Keep plugging away. I know it can seem annoying keep pestering people but they do forget. Strategic reminders work wonders with donators. I couldn't use kickstarter for my campaign because at the time it was US only, but I hope this helps answer your question a bit anyway. Good luck!
