Not a betrayal at all! It's really good and very helpful to share other places, other strong communities people have experience of, and any other places people really rate for jobs/opportunities as well throughout the rest of this year. I also have no doubt there will be a bunch of new places springing up as well and we should share those amongst us.

If you haven't seen, we've also highlighted some of the brilliant orgs that are currently doing a lot to support filmmakers here, around the UK: https://shootingpeople.org/resources/

It includes a range of different types of support, great fests, screening places, funds etc. But any other places people think we should add to it, please let us know and we will. Particularly for meetups, socials, opportunities, jobs etc.

I don't have the answer to that Phoebe, but I just want to say I couldn't agree more.
I'm one of the silent participants who reads the daily update and occasionally finds crew here (my company Reggie London does not do 100% film work, so it's not a total necessity) but I've been to a few meet-ups and found a great community.

Thanks for your links Cath - I went through them looking for something similar, but sadly there isn't.

If anyone starts something similar or is thinking of it - there's a keen community waiting.

I'm going to miss SP, thank you.

As many use Facebook, perhaps we could remain loyal to use the Shooting People groups there. I’m in, for example, a Brighton SP group on Facebook. I also find LinkedIn perfect for serious film professional contacts.
