Can anyone offer any advice on the best way to go about getting permission to film a funeral scene?
The shoot is based in Leeds and we require a Graveyard / Cemetery / Crematorium. I've never shot in a location like this and imagine it might be quite difficult, so am wondering where to start.

Thanks in advance.

You do need to ask the local County council - in case they come along and shut you down ! In London every borough has a film office so i am sure Leeds do! Of course ask the vica etc but you need to start with the set up of the county council ? They will want to see the script/ scene and a breakdown of the schedule and what exactly you want to do - and the time of day!! (in London the permissions vary but not under £80 quid normally per day ..not sure nationwide prices ?)

Ask the vicar of the graveyard you want to film in, I did that for a scene in Void if Detached and the vicar was fine and even let us use Church as greenroom.
