Hello oh lovely shooting people! I'm a student producer on the MA Film and TV production at the University of Bristol, currently in preproduction for our dissertation film shooting during the last weekend of May.

I am trying to get hold of a house for our shoot - one that could pass as a family home - so this unfortunately rules out most of our shabby student flats.

I was wondering if anybody could give me any advice on how to secure a location for cheap or preferably for free? We are willing to come to an arrangement - we would be more than happy to shoot a promo video for a holiday rental company or similar, but at the moment just don't really know where to start.

Any advice from anybody would be much appreciated. Huge thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

the script calls for an exterior, a bedroom (to be dressed as a child's bedroom) and perhaps a hallway/kitchen - the action that occurs isn't really room specific - we definitely need a bedroom and another room, but are reasonably flexible with what this room is, as it's not really central to the narrative where the action happens.

We are shooting in the last week of May and would require the location for 3 to 4 days although we do have some flexibility with this.
