Location Search: A retirement home!

11 years, 5 months ago - Becky Weston

I am currently producing my graduation film for Kingston University, which is set in a retirement home. I've approached several retirement homes but, understandably, they are reluctant to allow filming on their premises. Now I am looking for fairly homey bedroom and lounge locations that could be dressed to look like rooms within a retirement home. I'm willing to pay up to 200 pounds a day, but it's still proving very difficult.

Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions or advice? Anything at all would be greatly appreciated.

Look outside not inside London, everyone in London is being hit up by student filmmakers every year.

How about somewhere like an off-season Pontin's room? It'll look old and dowdy for sure. Or a Hall of Residence?
