London based Script Editor Sought

Hi Shooters,

I've been redrafting my feature script Black Ice on and off for a number of years. Black Ice is a thriller set in Alaska about a photojournalist implicated in the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend who sets out to prove his innocence and uncovers a political conspiracy in the arctic wilderness of northern Alaska.

This is my second script and follows on from my multi-award winning debut feature which I wrote and directed, Lad : A Yorkshire Story.

I'm now looking to hire a script editor as I feel I need fresh eyes to nudge the script over the line. I'm looking for a professional who is purely engaged as a script editor and who has good contacts and experience within the industry and whom I can form a relationship with and meet on occasion in London.

Hello Dan. I am based just outside of London, but can happily come to London. I've been doing this for about 10 years or so. Primarily what I provide is Script-writing, Script editing, and Script consultation work. I could happily give you some guidance and consultation on your projects of what needs tightening up etc and ways you could go about it. Then if you want, I could become engaged fully as a script editor to implement those details etc. I've had two short films shortlisted at international film festivals and worked on more projects than I can count, so might be able to help you out.

Also, the main reason I replied, is because my Academic field of expertise is Political corruption. To the point where I have constructed a new critical academic model of corruption awaiting publication in a journal. So as you can imagine, my interest was piqued by your project "Black Ice". I would be happy just to have a chat about it and see if I can offer any useful advice.

Thanks Nathalie, Create 50 looks like fun. It won't suit my current project but I know some of the team involved and I look forward to the finished film.

Cyrus, thanks for your offer of help, I engaged the services of a script editor earlier in the month so I'll progress with him for the moment but it might be that we could use your knowledge when it comes to political corruption - do you have a working knowledge of the US government/political processes?
