Hi, what is meant by ‘Black story’? Do you mean black comedy? Black ethnic origin story? Etc?

HI DEAN, thank you.. By Black cast I mean more at first story about black music, with romance, gangsta , sport etc... ( of course incl white cast) but I mean by black story, in the years 50's , 60's see exampler by the titles of films I mention here above

Sorry. No issues. It just seems like no one is interested in anything but, in inverted commas, culture, culture, culture. People seem to be afraid to be real anymore when it comes to stories involving white heritage etc. I’m far from racist but I think that this craft - filmmaking - is straying far from realism because of funding for ethnic minorities etc, so far in fact that realistic movies may now be a thing of the past. Anyway, good luck with your project. (Sometimes wish I was a minority so I can get funding

We have a creative community called WOCU (Women if Colour Unite) based out of the US with members around the world. We have Black female (cis or nb) writers, filmmakers and crew who might be interested. I can help you post this on their notice board if you like.

It would help to know: Do you have access to funding or are you seeking scripts and a team to apply for funding? Why in particular are you interested in Black culture or stories? As I’m sure the funding bodies will ask you that.
