INDEXLooking for a collaborative team for a short comedy in London.
10 years ago - Katie Smith
Hi guys!
Hope you are all well.
I am looking for a collaborative team for my next film, Leo. Logline: A struggling writer forms an unhealthy relationship with a Leonardo DiCaprio cardboard cutout.
At the moment I am on the lookout for the following:
Producer
Production Manager/Coordinator
Art Director/Production Designer
Boom Op/SR
Sound Mix
1st AD
We already have a DP, Writer, Director and the lead on board so far.
The film will be set in London and we are looking at October for principle photography. It'll be an expenses only job and we are yet to start fundraising but we will begin shortly once we have found a Producer to help with the realising of funds.
We're a passionate group and all working to produce a film worthy of high-end festivals. My last film was at Cannes, Long Island Film Expo where it won awards and San Antonio Film Festival among others.
This is ideal for someone professional yet perhaps looking for more solid experience, I'm a very friendly Director and spend a lot of time getting to know my crew and cast - doing this helps me get to know you and I usually always use the same crew so I am looking to build up my 'go-to' team.
Anyway, this is a collaborative project so if you're interested, either PM below or e-mail to magic05productions@gmail.com

Hi Katie,
I've just seen your trailer for crossroads and was very impressed.
I am a screenwriter and am wondering if you are looking for any short scripts as I have a couple.
(I would provide them for free. I don't want paying. A credit is all I'm after).
Before I go further let me show you an example of my writing. Please go to
www.groundworkpictures.com and click on "The Rejection." to see a short film that I wrote.
Synopsis - "The value of a degree."
A young man, Ralph, has left university with a business studies degree but has been unable
to find a job. He has had no interviews and has even been turned down for shelf-stacking.
Feeling that he has wasted three years of his life and racked up thousands of poundsworth
of debt in the process he becomes depressed. Then, just when things seem darkest, he gets a
peculiar job offer.
This is a topical script which questions the value of a degree in today`s society where there are so
many graduates who find that degrees do not necessarily guarantee a bright future.
The script, "A bright future," is seven pages long with a small number of characters and locations.
Synopsis - "Loverboy."
An elderly man searches the internet for love. He thinks he has found it when he starts contacting
a bikini model in her twenties. He arranges to meet her in hotel room. When he gets to the room he
finds that she isn`t there but someone else is.
This is a short script, sixteen pages long, that is based on the true case of Professor Paul Frampton,
who thought he was contacting a bikini model but was instead being scammed. He ended up being
tricked into carrying drugs and is now serving time in an Argentinian prison.
If you are interested in reading either or both of these scripts please contact me on mattclayton55@hotmail.com

Matt
