Looking for a data centre to film in - or something that looks like one!

We're looking for something futuristic, high-tech space to shoot a few scenes for a documentary and have a reasonable budget but can't find anything half suitable. Can anyone help?

Hi,

I may be able to help.
Would travel to Fareham, Hants be a problem?
What timescale are you looking at?
What is the doc about?

Once I have this I can make some further enquires.

Regards

Tim Chick

Data centres are high security places - at least we all hope they are. Only authorised people and of course the spies have access
If you need a big area full of computer looking gear I think you will struggle. If you just need a bank of something that looks hi tech then a couple of Dexion racks with old PC boxes a few twinkling lights and the odd cable will pass.

Data centres are now the absolute heart and lifeblood of any company, so have over the years become more restricted (how bad would you feel if you knocked a production server offline?!). If you don't get joy elsewhere it *might* be worth asking Microsoft in Reading as I know they have a (frequently wiped) demo lab, which they use for simulations and installation troubleshooting - might be available sometime?
